If it looks too good to be true, you’re probably right! Learn the difference between what looks good, and what works!

If you’re interested in making money online, or just presenting your brick-and-mortar on the Internet, congratulations! You can look forward to a minefield of potential wasted time and money, if you don’t know what works, and what’s out there that will separate you from your hard earned money and valuable time.

Internet Marketing is a way of doing business on the World Wide Web. It can be a bit daunting to the newcomer, who doesn’t know the difference between a Web page address and an email address. However, you can learn this stuff in a reasonable amount of time, if you concentrate on the good stuff, and avoid the bad stuff.

What you want to avoid is the hype: wild promises of vast income, in no time flat, if you just buy a ‘business in a box’. “Earn $2 billion in three seconds with our latest Internet Marketing product!” For the sophisticated Internet Marketer, there are opportunities to exploit new trends, markets, and venues that the newbie won’t be able to understand, much less make a profit by trying to copy someone else’s success.

Plan on earning every cent you make by work, planning, and patience. Expect to suffer from Information Overload, if you’re not familiar with the ins and outs of IM. Once you power past the learning curve, this stuff won’t seem as daunting, because you will understand the value of a solid foundation, and the benefits of good practices.

Warning! There are crooked ways of doing IM. Just don’t do them. Those practices will catch up with you, and you will pay a price for using them. The worst thing you can do is ruin your reputation. A reputation is like fine china: hard to make, easy to break, and almost impossible to repair.

If IM is right for you and your business, go for it! Automating your revenue stream is possible, if you plan right, and execute faithfully.
